Estelle Humphris Podiatrist

Senior Podiatrist

Estelle finished her Podiatry degree in 2016. Similar to Anna, she started her career in Port Augusta public health system focussing on high risk wound care. She returned to Adelaide in 2018 moving into private practice and changing her focus to routine care and biomechanics.

Estelle enjoys a variety in her Podiatry clinical work. She takes pride in tending to the little details in her routine nail care clients and loves the relationships formed over time with her loyal clients. With her gentle touch and compassion for her clients, her most frequent feedback from clients is that she is gentle and thorough in her Podiatry care.

Estelle loves the challenge of resolving someone’s foot pain whether it’s an overuse injury or an acute injury and watching their journey of improvement with her support, advice and care.

She has had foot injuries herself in the past (from bunion pain, to various foot tendon issues, and ingrown toe nails), which she has rehabbed through good foot care and appropriate strengthening, which she believes gives her a personal empathy and understanding of her clients’ pain and rehab journey.

Estelle also has a Certificate IV in teaching Mat Pilates, which has helped her approach to exercise prescription and viewing the body holistically. She runs a “Release and Reactivate” class at her husband’s Exercise Physiology Business iNform Health and Fitness Solutions.

Estelle is also trained in Foot Mobilisation Therapy and Dry Needling.

Estelle is dedicated improving the Podiatry profession and has crated an online learning platform called The Gait Movement, educating Podiatrists and other Allied Health Professionals on gait analysis and functional assessments. She has delivered international and national presentations as well as guest lectures to the Podiatry student cohort at the University of South Australia.

If you are interested in getting to know Estelle a bit more, you can listen to her story on this episode of the Podiatry Legends Podcast: Ep 244 (UNCUT) – The Gait Movement with Estelle Humphris (or search on any. (it’s nothing technical, you don’t have to be a Podiatrist to follow along, have a listen and get to know Estelle!).

Estelle has many hobbies and interests outside of Podiatry, including gym, dancing (including competitive pole dancing),  and trail running where she has learnt first-hand the importance of strength building through the lower limb to have the endurance to continue to enjoy running.
